Bromyard Folk Festival will be packed with over 170 hours of entertainment over one weekend. The event is based around traditional folk music, and is complimented by dance displays, a craft market, world foods, a real ale bar, concerts and ceilidhs.
Bromyard Scarecrow Festival takes place every June in the unspoilt Herefordshire market town of Bromyard. It includes a scarecrow parade, prizes for best children’s and adults exhibits, scarecrow making events, a scarecrow trail for the public with cryptic clues and a special supper on Bromyard Town Green.
A pageant and competition of colourful and traditional Town Criers from all over the U.K. Every year the Bromyard International Town Criers’ Festival is on the Mayday Bank Holiday weekend. This colourful event attracts criers from throughout the UK with visitors also arriving from Europe.
The speed festival is back in town, with a dazzling display of distinctive Cars and Motorcycles from throughout the decades. The show stoppers will be C and D type Jaguars, supplemented by a fine array of cherished sports cars from yesteryear.
The economic and cultural heritage of Herefordshire’s hop-growing industry has always centred on Bromyard, including Bishop’s Frome and the Frome Valley.
With estimated crowds of nearly 5,000 and the Hop Race was streamed live worldwide. The day features the unique event, the Hop Pocket World Championship, part of a full day’s programme of events.
