Bromyard Folk Festival will be packed with over 170 hours of entertainment over one weekend. The event is based around traditional folk music, and is complimented by dance displays, a craft market, world foods, a real ale bar, concerts and ceilidhs.
The economic and cultural heritage of Herefordshire’s hop-growing industry has always centred on Bromyard, including Bishop’s Frome and the Frome Valley.
With estimated crowds of nearly 5,000 and the Hop Race was streamed live worldwide. The day features the unique event, the Hop Pocket World Championship, part of a full day’s programme of events.
Every year the Bromyard International Town Criers’ Festival is on the Mayday Bank Holiday weekend. This colourful event attracts criers from throughout the UK with visitors also arriving from Europe.
This year’s Bromyard Speed Festival is going ON TOUR and will take place at Shelsley Walsh. It is a celebration of our rich motoring history. It will be a non-timed event showcasing around 100 to 120 historic, vintage and public interest vehicles relevant to Bromyard.
Bromyard is a very special place all year round but never more so than at Christmas when the main streets are festooned with strings of lights for the town’s fabled Christmas Illuminations, reputed to be the best display in Herefordshire.
The Big Switch-On of Bromyard’s annual ‘Christmas Lights’, accompanied as always by a busy day of Yuletide events.
Come down to the Rifle Range by the Football Club. We have a bonfire at 5.30pm followed by a fireworks display.
